Beach Colony

While most of Del Mar is set slightly above sea level, up on the ocean bluffs and across from the railroad tracks which follow the coastline, the Beach Colony is situated right along the beach. It is in the northernmost part of the city, between 18^th Street to the south and “Dog Beach” to the north, just south of the city of Solana Beach. With only 5-15 sales per year, and approximately 90 homes directly on the sand, this area claims some of the most expensive homes in Southern California. There are approximately 250 detached and 150 attached homes that sell in the multi-million dollar range with a top sales price of $48 million. Its allure is its easy beach access, while still being close to the village and the famous Del Mar Race Track.
